The New Year's Resolution (An Analogy of "Constructive Criticism")

I find positive and inspiring statements expressed in any artistic way, especially videos, uplifting. Not just the polished, professional glam performance but also the raw works of understated amateurs. In truth, this is how all great artist begin. Yesterday I found this on Google's spotlight video. This pretty young girl plays around with the camera in a creative use of color, still motion photography, lighting and focus. This short clip is intended to shows how words, unintentionally or deliberately, can hurt.
From Marcey
As each year comes to a close I think about all that has happened to me that year. I decided 2009 had been the best and worst year of my life. This video is my New Year's resolution. It is a collection of things that have been said to me by some of the most important people in my life (most of you know who you are) and has brought me down all year. I intend to change or prove wrong every single one of them in hopes that 2010 will be even better.
My advice to Marcey: People will always criticize what they don't understand or fear. Let them be as they are and continue to do what you do with peace and understanding.
